By 1918, the school has increased to six teachers and 52 students composed of 12 deaf, 8 blind, and 32 with a cognitive disability. In September 1918, the school moved to the five-acre Cecil C. Brown Estate (present-day site of HSDB), which was purchased by the Territory of Hawai’i.
